I woke up this morning to find the serious questions on my WhatsApp messenger. Then, I thought of bringing it out to my fans.
In Nigeria, or let's put the whole world per se, we have these problem of choosing what our future would be like. We find it difficult at times to decide on what we want and at the end, we just find ourselves doing what we don't even want at first.

Let's deliberate on these issues outlined below, let's see your views and other people's views.

Which would you prefer and why?

1. Building your capacity after your first degree before applying for a job?
2. Getting a job and learning on the field as well as being paid?
3. Learning practical skills that could help you build your passion into a business?
4. Another option that is better than the above mentioned?

  1. I'll go with the third option, probably because I have an experience of that. Waiting to finish NYSC or getting a well paid job in Nigeria right now is no joke. But if you have any practical skill, with or without govt or private establishments employing you, you're your boss. I think that helps in making decisions as you can control your hours and other things without regretting or making avoidable mistakes

  2. Hmmmmm @Oluwatodimu, how do we go about the issue of money? To acquire skills and to be trained is not for free; to even start a business is not for free. Do you still think following passion is the best option? Passion still needs capacity building, how long will you be sure you're ready to start up

  3. The third option will do.
Learning practical skills helps a lot especially in Nigeria. In this Century, what people don't know is that Learning Practical skills pays much more than going about seeking for job at unsure places. There was a time Federal Government wanted to employ people and some sort of screenings and interviews, those that had better certificates from Private and State schools were declined while only those with Federal Government School certificates were employed.
In this life, to make it in life, it requires risk. I learnt that those who made it in life takes risk.
After learning and there's no source of revenue to start, you can as well take loan, so far you believed in yourself and your abilities, you're going to make it.
    Third option pays a lot!
