Let's Talk Football: My Champions League Final Preview [Details]

All roads lead to Cardiff on Saturday, June 3rd, well if not Cardiff at least a small bar in your area. The final of the most prestigious competition in Europe will be played against Real Madrid and Juventus, and whoever is victorious today will make history.

Real Madrid are looking to retain this title after winning it last year by beating their city rival Athletico Madrid in penalties and if they do it, they are going to make history being the only team to ever achieve this fit, Juventus on the other hand were in final two years ago and were beaten by Barcelona and they will be looking to stop that from happening again this year.

The match today will be an historic one because, for the first time in a while, no team is the clear favourite, each team with their strengths and weakness.
They say "defence is the best form of attack" and the Juve team is an embodiment of that statement while the Real Madrid team probably have one of the best players to ever kick a ball playing in their team.
Another plus for this Madrid team is their talented arrays of substitutes and how Zidane has been able to get the best out of every member of the team and how they all put in at least a 6/10 performance when they play, apparently a little over 19 players in the team have played over a 1000 minutes this season (take a minute to think about this).

Juventus cannot boast of such a robust squad, but what they have going for them is a very talented, experienced, grounded group of players who have been here before and know their jobs. They set up very defensive but are threat in attack too and up until the 69th minute when Kylian Lottin Mbappe scored, Buffon, probably the greatest to ever put on gloves and guard the post area in club football had only conceded two goals through out the competition.

The game will be won and lost in front Juventus 18 yard box with Ronaldo, Bonucci and Chiellini the deciding factor of who is crowned King of Europe.
Davi Alves and Marcelo will also have roles to play, and the former will be looking to continue his run of form from the Semis, another incentive will be he will be playing against his former arch rival.

Personally, I would like Juventus to win it later today just so Buffon can cap his wonderful career with a UCL winners medal but we all know on Ronaldo's day he usually has the final say.

May the best team win.
