Stepping Up Your Game In The Year 2018 (3)

Welcome to another day!

We talked about the DEEP THINKING mechanism yesterday and I hope you've started using this? Lets keep it up.

2. You must have targets!

Another upgrade we must take on this New Year is having targets.

Your targets are your goals or objectives for the year, they are the things you want to achieve, and they are the solutions you want to provide to the problems you've discovered through the DEEP THINKING mechanism.

Going into a new year without a goal(s) could be the dumbest thing one would ever do; one would just end up the same way the year started.

Your goal is the destination you want to get to at the end of this year, it is the YOU that you want to see at the end of these 365 days.

Orison Swett Marden said, "All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim, have fixed their gaze on a goal which was high, one which sometimes seemed impossible." Which means nothing can be accomplished without having a destination in view.

A player cannot have a goal on the pitch if the aim is not set; he will continue to shoot off targets or run up and down without scoring just like Bill Copeland said.

Living without a goal is same as wandering about like a goat (anything goes); you must not live a "anything go" life this New Year.

On a final note, while making goals, don't make goals that are attainable without much work or thought (you'd be stuck with something below your true talent and potential), you have to set goals that are almost out of reach.

Don't be goalless!

Don't be a goat!

Define your goals!

Have a great day.
