Willy Cabellero; Sagna; Gael Clichy; Zabeleta; Jesus Navas are some of the big names that have left city this summer, a couple of days after the end of the season. Noticeably, these players are well over 30.
The 2016/17 season for Manchester City started with so much positivity after the signing of Pep Guardiola, one of the most decorated coaches in Europe, the papers were buzzing of how he was going to run away with the English Premier League (EPL) title and dominate English football.
The season started with so much controversy after he made it clear he had no plans for Joe Hart and sent him on loan to Torino in the Italian league bringing in former Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo, it seemed like a gamble at that time in the season, mid way into the season it wasn't a gamble anymore, more like a mistake of catastrophic proportions as Bravo could not cope with the pressure of the EPL with injuries towards the end of the season making them short of goalkeeping options, he was replaced by Caballero in goal whose contract expired this season.
Fast Forward to the end of the season, after spending the most in the transfer window, his city team finished third, didn't win any domestic cup and were knocked of the Champions League by the high flying and scoring Monaco side.
Pep Guardiola seems to be strengthening in the goalkeeping department again this season as he looks set to sign the 23 year old Benfica goalkeeper, Ederson who is the most promising prospect out of Brazil, they have also signed Bernardo Silva from Monaco and rumour mill seems to be linking a host of players with the Manchester City team.
Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho seems to have dropped down the pecking order just behind Gabriel Jesus who has been a revelation for City during
the second half of the season and Kun Aguero, with West Ham sniffing around him he looks set to make a move to London.

Manchester City and Pep's shenanigans in the transfer window so far has shown intent and decisiveness and this just looks like the beginning, although anything less than a trophy this season will be unacceptable and
then we will be within our rights to comfortably say Pep has been found out in England.
Until then, we give him another chance as he tries all over again.
